These booking terms and conditions are applicable ONLY to Flights, Tailor Made or Package Holidays

Viajes The Travel Shop (Tenerife) S.A is a wholly Spanish tour operator and travel agency (wholesale/retail) and as such acts as an intermediary in all holiday/flight transactions. The registered address of viajes The Travel Shop S.A is Edificio Casablanca, local 6, calzada Martianez sn, (crta Botanico sn), 38400 Puerto de la Cruz. S/C de Tenerife. Spain.

Viajes The Travel Shop S.A. act as agents only for the relevant supplier/tour operator shown on your documents (together with their ATOL number and booking reference locator where applicable). All terms and conditions of these principals will apply and are available upon request.

Errors and Omissions website

We take reasonable steps to ensure that any information, photographs, or any other details about the flights, accommodation arrangements or accommodation featured on the website is accurate. Whilst every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of all information and prices displayed on this Site, regrettably errors do occasionally occur. In the event that an incorrect price has been entered, any booking made based on such incorrect price will not be valid. You will be advised of the mistake at the earliest opportunity and you will then have the option either to pay the correct price for the travel arrangements or to cancel and receive a full refund of any monies you may already have paid. We make no warranties or promises as to the availability or suitability of any accommodation advertised. We reserve the right to change or vary the price, flight, accommodation, or any other arrangements featured on our website at any time without notice. You agree that it is your responsibility to ensure that all the details of your chosen accommodation are as confirmed with us at the time of booking.

Payments

We accept all major credit and debit cards. There is a charge of £1.50 for any bookings made using a debit card or switch card, a charge of 2% for any bookings made using a credit card and a charge of 3% for any bookings made using American Express.

Additional Charges

Please note that all additional charges are included in the total cost. Additional charges include airport taxes, fuel supplement, security fee and where applicable (when your flight is with a low cost airline) a card booking fee.

Your Obligations

Please ensure that ALL documentation is thoroughly read and understood. It is your responsibility to inform us of any discrepancies. Please note some suppliers may charge for amendments and unfortunately in these circumstances the client will be responsible for any additional charges. Please ensure that you arrive in good time for your departure, we cannot be held responsible for your failure to do so. It is also your obligation and responsibility (normally at time of booking) to ensure that The Travel Shop has details of your telephone numbers both at home and whilst you are away from home to enable us to advise you of any changes in either your outbound or inbound flight. If there is any doubt or suspicion of doubt that The Travel Shop will have any difficulties in contacting you, it is essential that you reconfirm your flights 48 hours before each flight. Under no circumstances can The Travel Shop be held responsiable for the consequences of your missing a flight. (see also under “Flight times and Tickets”.)

Transfers

There are no transfers included in your holiday cost unless otherwise stated. On arrival at your destination you will normally find taxis just outside the terminal building. To avoid getting overcharged it is advisable to agree a cost before you take the journey. The Travel Shop can organize transfers for your party at most internacional airports, please check with your agent when making your booking.

Inflight Meals

Please note inflight meals are not normally included unless stated otherwise or ordered, paid for and specifically confirmed at time of booking. We will try to meet any special requests made of us, but cannot always guarantee them.

Travellers under 18

The person signing the booking form/completing the booking on-line accepts responsibility for paying for all the people on the booking. They are also responsible for keeping everyone in the party informed of the booking details. You must be at least 18 years old to make a booking with us. The first named person travelling on the booking must be at least 18, if all people travelling in your party are under 18 you need to provide a letter of consent from your parent or guardian. All Spanish nationals travelling alone under 18 MUST also have a letter signed and stamped by the local athorities (police, judge, lawyer) giving permission to leave the country, please either email this letter to reservations@travelshoptenerife.com or send to: Customer Services, The Travel Shop S.A., Edficio Casablanca, local 6, ctra. Botanico s/n, 38400 Puerto de la Cruz. S/C de Tenerife. Spain. Not all airlines will allow unaccompanied minors to travel, or passengers that are under 17 years of age on the date of departure, please double check with our reservations staff before booking your flights. It is essential that we are told of all passengers ages at the time of booking and will not accept responsibility if you have ommitted to inform us at the time of booking.

Insurance

The Travel Shop strongly urges you to carry the appropriate travel insurance to cover you for cancellation costs, baggage etc etc etc. Please ask one of our sales consultants about the various travel insurances available.

Ticket on Departure

If you are collecting documentation from the airport, this will normally ONLY be your flight tickets. Please ensure that you have any other vouchers or insurance documents either posted or faxed to you before you depart.

Visa / Vaccinations

Certain countries require a visa permit for entry. Further information can be obtained from the embassy representing your destination. Where required, we recommend that all passengers have the correct vaccinations etc prior to travel. Always consult your doctor. Please Note: The U.S department of immigration has recently changed some of the rules for visitors entering the U.S.A, please contact them for more information, especially if you have a criminal record. Any visa, passport and innoculation requirements are your responsibility and failure to obtain the relevant documentation is not the responsibility of The Travel Shop.

Flight Times and Tickets

All departure and arrival timings are given using the 24 hour system. Your flight tickets will state the most up to date flight information, so please read them very carefully and ensure that you allow sufficient time to arrive at the airport, normally 2 hours before departure. Tour operators make it the responsibility of the traveller to re-confirm their flights at least 48 hours before departure.

Flights

Most flights operate without delay but where these occur, we are sorry that we cannot accept responsibility for any additional costs incurred. Most insurance policies do offer assístance in case of long delays and you should check your policy for further information. You should check your tickets carefully upon receipt as flight times may have changed since the time of booking

Force Majeure

Except where otherwise expressly stated in these Booking Conditions we regret we cannot accept any liability or pay compensation where the performance of our contractual obiligations is prevented or affected by circumstances and events include war, threat of war, riots, civil strife, or terrorist activity, industrial disputes, natural or nuclear disaster,fire, technical problems with aircraft or transport, closure or congestion of airports or ports, bad weather, epidemics or health risks, insolvency of airlines and similar events beyond our control.

Flight Pricing Policy

The price of your travel arrangements is subject to surcharges on the following items for increases in transpiration costs e.g. fuel, scheduled airfares and any other airline surcharges which are part of the contract between airlines (and their agents) and the tour operator/ organiser. Government action such as increases in VAT or any other Government imposed increases, currency in relation to adverse exchange rate variations.

If the surcharge amounts to more than 10% of the holiday price, you will be entitled to cancel your holiday with a full refund of all monies paid for the holiday. Should you decide to cancel because of this you must exercise your right to do so within 14 days from the issue date printed on the invoice.

Cancellations / Amendments

All confirmed bookings are subject to cancellation charges. 100% cancellation charge can apply depending upon the type of ticket purchased, ie; low cost/charter/Schedule and the conditions aplicable to the fare paid, regardless of the reason for cancelling ie; death, illness etc etc. Please make sure you are aware of the type of ticket you are purchasing and the conditions aplicable. Passengers are reccomended to take insurance cover that includes cover for cancellation. Please call for exact charges. If you wish to cancel your holiday we require written confirmation from the lead passenger, once we receive this we can begin the cancellation process. It is in your best interest to advise us as soon as possible to avoid heavier cancellation/amendment charges. Some amendments are treated as cancellations and we suggest that you contact The Travel Shop S.A. as soon as possible. (N.B Please note some holiday arrangements are non-refundable and non-changeable e.g. scheduled airfares.)

Lost Tickets

If you lose your tickets, it may be possible to re-issue them for a fee. The amount payable will depend on the circumstances of the loss and how close to the travel date you discover it. However, not all tickets can be re-issued; which is another good reason for ensuring you have sufficient insurance cover.

Hotel and car hire bookings / cancellations / ammendments

In the event that you would like to cancel or amend your hotel booking, it is your responsibility to notify The Travel Shop S.A. verbally or in writing at least 48 hours prior to the arrival date. The Travel Shop may charge you an administration fee for any modification, changes or cancellations to your booking. Most hotels and car hire companies have penalties and cancellations fees for any changes or cancellations to reservations. Sometimes this is a set fee and sometimes it is based on the date of cancellation/amendment and the arrival date. Unless otherwise stated, breakfast, lunch and dinner are NOT included. Star ratings may differ according to the country where the hotel is located and are out of the control of The Travel Shop S.A. Therefore The Travel Shop S.A. cannot be held responsible for any misconceptions relating to their star rating.

Names and identification for check-in and travel

The name on your passport or national identity card (Spanish national only) must match the name on the ticket, otherwise you may not be able to travel and insurance may be invalid. Please check your tickets and other documentation carefully and advise us of any errors immediately. In addition it is the passengers responsibility to ensure that they can meet the immigration requirements of the destination country. For example non EU citizens may require Visas, a return ticket and Proof that they can financially support themselves for the duration of their stay. Great care should be taken to comply with the above as the financial penalties associated with refusal of entry by the immigration authorities are severe.

Contract

Alter we have received a deposit or full payment for your booking and we issue a confirmation invoice, a contract exsists between you and The Travel Shop S.A. effective from the date printed on the invoice. If you fail to pay the balance when due, we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled and you may be subject to cancellation charges. Please note that you will not receive a reminder that payment is due.
